In your opinion, Kanga is...
a) A Grieving Widow. Her husband joined the ANZACs, see, and then he disappeared, so she went to Britain after the war to see if she could track him down. She discovered that he was dead, but luckily she found a lovely Support System of friendly animals in the Hundred Acre Wood, so she settled down there.
b) A Divorcee. Because this was quite Scandalous at the time, she decided to move into a new neighborhood and keep very quiet about it.
c) The Innocent Victim of an Incorrigible Bounder. Of course, I suppose Roo's father would have to be a Bounder by definition, being a kangaroo, but you know what I mean.
d) In a Stable and Loving Relationship with Tigger. As this is clearly a Mixed Marriage and again rather Scandalous during the 1920s, they decided to move into the Hundred Acre Wood at separate times and generally be discreet about it, but the Subtext is obvious. They're living together, and Tigger has evidently slipped into a Paternal Role with Roo.
e) A Tramp. No visible father for her child, the only woman in a forest full of male animals, Christopher Robin being evasive about where she came from and why ... Duh. He had her smuggled in so she could make a man out of him.
f) A Virgin. Baby Roo is obviously the Messiah.
And no, I don't know how I came up with the idea for this poll. Been staring at my icon too long.
