come senators, congressmen, please heed the call...

I just got back from D.C. Too tired to write much (the bus was supposed to leave at 5:45 this morning, and finally got back around midnight), but I think it is safe to say the new Congress will find it difficult to lose sight of what we elected them to do. In other words, hot damn that was a lot of people, and while there were the usual contingent of 9/11 conspiracy theorists and half a dozen different socialist groups all trying to sell slightly different and competing versions of Enlightenment, there were also a ton of veterans, grandmas, parents with young kids, and ordinary folks of every stripe.
