a good thing about the movie Anonymous

The various discussions about it have led me to this completely awesome movie, in which Leslie Howard plays a mild-mannered archaeology professor who fights Nazis (with wit, style, and SHAKESPEAREAN AUTHORSHIP JOKES) in his spare time. (N.B., this film is occasionally cited as evidence that Leslie Howard actually believed that the Earl of Oxford wrote the works of Shakespeare, which rather suggests that Oxfordians have a hard time grasping the concept of a joke, of context, or even of fiction.)

Also, I am writing daft-authorship-theory crackfic instead of grading papers, which may or may not be a good thing.

OMG how am I a Scarlet Pimpernel fangirl without having seen that film? If I didn't have papers of my own to grade, I would watch it NOW.

Also, anything involving you writing fic is a good thing. Is the Doctor behind it all? (I do need to finish that fic where Amy inadvertently inspires Titus Andronicus...)

I must confess that I am almost entirely ignorant of Doctor Who (it seems like a rather overwhelming undertaking, and I am not sure of where to start), so no. Instead, I am working on the assumption that the only person who could possibly write a play about a Danish prince is a Danish prince, because that seems to be how Daft Authorship Theory Logic works :)
